The Sphinx is a massive stone statue of a mythical creature with a lion's body and a human's head. It is located on the Giza plateau, in front of the Pyramid of Khafre. The Sphinx is over 4,500 years old and is one of Egypt's most famous and recognizable landmarks.

Grand Egyptian Museum:

The Grand Egyptian Museum is the newest and largest cultural landmark in Egypt, located next to the Giza Pyramids. It houses a unique collection of Pharaonic artifacts, including, for the first time, the complete collection of King Tutankhamun. It features a magnificent architectural design, state-of-the-art exhibition halls, and an interactive visitor experience that brings ancient Egyptian history to life for visitors.

In the evening, transfer to Cairo’s railway station to board your overnight sleeper train to Aswan. Settle into your private cabin and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner as the train glides south along the Nile.

Day 3: Arrival in Aswan – High Dam & Philae Temple – Nile Cruise Embarkation

Day 4: Temples of Kom Ombo & Edfu

This morning, I stepped ashore at Kom Ombo to explore its unusual double temple, dedicated to two gods—Sobek, the crocodile deity, and Horus the falcon-headed god. The temple is rich in symbolic carvings, including rare depictions of ancient surgical instruments.

Return to the ship and enjoy lunch as you sail to Edfu. Upon arrival, take a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, one of the most complete and best-preserved temples in Egypt. Admire its soaring pylon, intricate wall reliefs, and sacred sanctuaries that once hosted elaborate rituals.

In the evening, dress in traditional attire for a lively Galabeya Party on board, with music, dancing, and cultural fun as you continue cruising toward Luxor.

Day 5: Luxor’s West Bank Treasures

Wake up in Luxor and set out for an unforgettable day on the West Bank of the Nile.

Begin at the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom were laid to rest in ornately decorated tombs carved deep into desert cliffs. Step into chambers adorned with vivid hieroglyphics and symbolic art, and—if open—visit the tomb of Tutankhamun.

A 25% deposit is required to confirm your reservation, and this amount is deducted from your total balance.   • 6 to 11.99 years – Charged 50% of the adult rate
